The Redmond audio team is part of a small global group that researches and develops system software for current and future Nintendo game systems. We are looking for a junior engineer with attention to detail and a passion for audio technologies. You will participate in prototyping, developing, maintaining, debugging, profiling, optimizing, and testing audio firmware. The candidate should have experience with digital audio, knowledge of C/C++, and excellent communications skills. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES - Design and implement audio system software.
- Characterize, analyze, organize, and present detailed performance metrics of features at a large scale.
- Optimize, maintain, validate, and diagnose failures in existing and new systems.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS - BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Coursework or foundational knowledge in digital signal processing (DSP).
- Experience with real-time embedded and cross-platform development.
- 3 or more years of professional experience with C/C++ programming.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: - Knowledge of DSP architectures (eg. Hifi, Hexagon, ARM SIMD).
- Experience with acoustic and audio signal processing algorithms.
- Familiarity with audio peripherals and interfaces (eg. I2S, TDM, PDM, DMA).
