Mission Statement

The Department of Urology at the University of Michigan was established in 1925 with a mission to help people: patients, peers, community and the world. Our vision is a world free of suffering from urologic disease, and our values are honesty, integrity, authenticity, empathy, compassion, accountability, hard work, fairness, and transparency.

Job Summary

Our department is seeking an energetic, collaborative, growth-oriented, and fellowship-trained urologist to be a founding member of the Troy Center for Specialty Care team. This position offers the opportunity to help create and lead a first-of-its-kind interdisciplinary Comprehensive Men's Health and Reproductive Urology program at Michigan Medicine's new Troy Center for Specialty Care, scheduled to open in the summer of 2027. The urologist will be embedded in the Center for Reproductive Medicine where they will engage in multidisciplinary reproductive urology care with onsite reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialists and full-service assisted reproductive technology and andrology labs. They will be able to perform the full complement of in-office and operating room reproductive urology procedures, including microsurgical testicular sperm extraction (microTESE), vasectomy reversal, varicocelectomy, electroejaculation, and local anesthetic sperm extraction procedures. They will also be leading a Comprehensive Men's Health program in the Troy Center for Specialty Care that will have the opportunity to build relationships with local and regional primary care physicians, cardiologists, and other clinical teams to provide a full suite of men's health diagnoses, including erectile and sexual dysfunction, Peyronie's disease, hypogonadism, lower urinary tract dysfunction, and prostate cancer detection.

This position is an excellent opportunity to grow a practice and deliver integrated reproductive, sexual, hormonal, and prostate care in a region with strong patient demand. In this role, you will work with a variety of physicians from inside and outside Michigan Medicine to build a practice in a new region with the full support of an existing department and fellowship-trained colleagues behind you.
