The candidate will gain valuable experience in all aspects of product design and development from concept through scale up to manufacturing for both formulation and device design.</p><p></p><h2><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></h2><ul><li><p>Design and prototype drug-device combination and associated delivery system products</p></li><li><p>Conduct hands-on laboratory testing to evaluate the performance of the prototypes for supporting formulation, device, and combination product development</p></li></ul><p>·       Collaboration with scientists and technicians to analyze and resolve technical challenges</p><ul><li><p>Maintain laboratory notebook and prepare technical reports</p></li><li><p>Support preclinical activities through hands-on manufacture and characterization of investigational products</p></li><li><p>Leverage tools (MATLAB, R, Python, etc.) to analyze data and validate data to ensure data quality and reliability.</p></li></ul><h2><b>Experience and Skills:</b></h2><p><b>Required:</b></p><p>·       Team-oriented with strong written and communication skills</p><ul><li><p>Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail and a collaborative work approach</p></li><li><p>Experience of working in a laboratory environment</p></li><li><p>Basic wet lab skills (sample dilutions, aseptic procedure, etc.)</p></li><li><p>Experience in using programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB</p></li><li><p>Positive, independent, and contagious work ethic</p></li></ul><h2><b>Preferred:</b></h2><ul><li><p>Experience in pharmaceutical formulation or product development</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with drug-device combination products is a plus.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of chemistry, biology, or material science</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><span><b>Workplace Type: </b></span><br /><br />This is a fully onsite position in Lexington, MA.</p><p></p><p>Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.<span>  </span>Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.</p><p><span> </span></p><p>Johnson &amp; Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
