Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 03/06/2026. This position includes a Selective Placement Factor (skill, knowledge, ability or other worker characteristic basic to - and essential for - satisfactory performance of the job). Selective Placement Factors are a prerequisite to appointment and represent minimum requirements for a position. Applicants who do not meet it are ineligible for further consideration. The Selective Placement Factor for this position is: Possessing and maintaining a valid state issued driver's license. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: GS-05: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-04) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience include applying regulations, policies, procedures, or principles; providing guidance to customers; and entering employee information via various computer databases.. OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have four (4) years of education above high school. OR, Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond the first two years of college-level education. GS-06: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-05) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience include applying regulations, policies, procedures, or principles; providing technical advice and guidance to customers; entering, extracting, and evaluating employee information via various computer databases; and maintaining databases from a variety of sources. GS-07: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-06) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience include applying regulations, policies, procedures, principles and/or concepts that govern the personnel security; providing technical advice and guidance to customers; entering, extracting, and evaluating employee information via various computer databases; dealing with highly charged emotional situations; and maintaining databases from a variety of sources. Physical Requirements: You will be asked to participate in a pre-employment examination or evaluation as part of the pre-employment process for this position. Questions about physical demands or environmental factors may be addressed at the time of evaluation or examination. The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, small boxes, or books. Work Environment: The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, or libraries. The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated.
