Our Campus
Cal U's 294-acre campus is nestled on a bend of the Monongahela River in the borough of California, Pa., 35 miles south of Pittsburgh. Cal U's geographic location provides numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation, cultural activities, shopping, visits to heritage areas and much more. Located in the Appalachian Plateau among rolling hills, the University is just an hour drive from Ohiopyle and other state parks and recreational areas offering camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, whitewater rafting, canoeing and skiing. The University is also within easy driving distance of Fallingwater, one of America's foremost architectural treasures.

Cal U offers easy access to the Pittsburgh metropolitan area and its many cultural attractions and sporting events such as the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, the Pittsburgh Symphony, Pittsburgh Ballet, Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, the Carnegie Museums, National Aviary, and our professional sports teams the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
