Associate Director of Clinical Services
This position is responsible for oversight of key areas of clinical service provision within the University Counseling Center in addition to providing direct counseling and outreach services to the Azusa Pacific community.

Required Education:
* Master’s degree in clinical or counseling psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
* Licensure by the California Board of Psychology or Board of Behavioral Sciences. If the applicant is currently licensed in another jurisdiction, CA licensure will be expected within 180 days of employment.

Required Experience:
* Five years of post-graduate clinical experience with evidence of increasing supervisory and administrative responsibilities, university counseling setting preferred.
* Applicant should be a generalist with experience in at least some of the following: brief therapy; addiction and substance abuse; crisis management and consultation; providing counseling, prevention and outreach services to diverse populations; psychological assessment; sexual and gender-related concerns; faith and spiritual integration; men's issues; sport psychology or work with intercollegiate athletes; supervision of staff and trainees.
* Knowledge and fluency with electronic record keeping systems, Medicat preferred.

Primary Duties:
* Staff supervision and training: Provides consultation and supervision of clinical practice for non-licensed and licensed staff. Coordinates and facilitates weekly clinical peer consultation meetings. Organizes, plans, and facilitates one all-staff training seminar per semester, with the goal of enhancing quality of treatment and keeping professional staff abreast of current trends and developments in the delivery of clinical services. The Associate Director is responsible for overseeing all facets of UCC services and decision-making in the absence of the Director.
* Clinical services: Coordinates UCC intake and urgent care schedules; monitors flow of clients; assesses efficiency of clinical processes; keeps UCC counselors accountable to maintain adequate availability for expected clinical load; guides administrative support staff to develop and facilitate smooth execution of front desk procedures and protocols when assisting clients and managing clinical emergencies; creates efficiencies through support and maintenance of Medicat electronic record system; tracks client statistics and creates regular reports. Collaborates as a member of the UCC Administrative Team with the Director and Training Director in the development and revision of procedures and documentation related to the delivery of clinical services.
* Case disposition: Responsible for all client assignment processes; oversees disposition of clients during weekly staff meetings; monitors waiting list clients, including proper documentation of client contacts and communication with clients through collaboration with UCC administrative support staff and counselors; maintains statistics related to waiting list numbers and provides regular updates to staff and other stakeholders.
* Counseling services: The Associate Director maintains a caseload of individual, couples, and group clients; is available for crisis intervention and management, which may include nights and weekends; acts as an emotional wellness consultant for the university community; conducts outreach and training, including educational workshops on various mental health topics; attends and participates in all clinical supervision and staff meetings.
* Task force and committee representation: Supports the university by attending various functions that are deemed appropriate for UCC staff by the Director. Represents the Director on various campus committees as designated.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

* Demonstrates respect, professionalism, and consideration when dealing with students, faculty, and staff.

Technologies:
* Proficient in Microsoft software, Google, and Medicat (or a similar electronic record keeping system).
