Director of Data and Analytics
The Partnership Project’s Climate Action Campaign is a highly effective, unbranded coalition of national climate, conservation, and progressive groups, state and local partners, and key allies working to protect clean air and promote action to limit climate change. The Campaign regularly partners with national and state-based groups, as well as leaders from diverse communities, to promote climate action, defend against attacks on the Clean Air Act and climate change policies, and showcase the unyielding transition to clean energy driven by state, local and federal action.

Responsibilities
This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and professional opportunities, from overseeing a paid phones program and analyzing on-the-ground organizing programs, to managing projects and relationships with allied data staffers and academics. A successful candidate will have a solid background in data management, strategic thinking, experimentation and evaluation, working with coalition partners, and proven program management skills, along with the desire for professional growth. This position is a unique role that works with both the Climate Action Campaign and the Partnership Project as detailed below.

• Utilize data to inform campaign decisions on targeting, strategic communications, and paid media with regard to present and future programs
• Leverage CAC’s data and tools to evaluate and craft recommendations to improve program performance, including devising analytical tools to measure the campaign’s efficacy and progress over time
• Manage team of Data and Analytics staff (currently a team of three) to manage data and phones programs, meet deliverables, inform the campaign’s planning and implementation, and communicate internal and external updates to key audiences and project participants as needed
• Maintain and build external relationships with member groups to develop collaborative approaches with data, technology, polling, and analytics -- including identifying gaps in tools, resources, and research
• Liaise with data staff at partner organizations as well as other thought-leaders in the field to identify and implement experiments and tests
• Present recommendations and analytics findings to high-level stakeholders, including CAC’s Steering Committee leadership and current and prospective donors
• Manage CAC’s internal database structure and proprietary data to adhere to security standards, performance audits, and cost efficiency
• Manage the Data and Analytics team’s budget plans and interaction with vendors, including oversight of contracts and invoices
• Collaborate with Partnership Project program, leadership, and broader partners to oversee and enhance projects related to membership matching, civic engagement, community testing, and polling
• Oversee staff responsible for providing patch-through program, texting, and emailing services to larger Green Group
• Inform stakeholders and leadership of targeting opportunities through data-driven research
• Work collaboratively with the Climate Advocacy Lab and the Climate and Clean Energy Polling Consortium to unify approaches and information

Qualifications
• Ability to think creatively and apply an innovative approach to current programs with an eye toward enhancement
• At least 7 years of experience in data-related positions within the progressive community
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative or computer science related field, or equivalent related work experience
• Experience working with polling data, writing scripts, and analyzing results
• Collaborative approach and ability to work successfully with data and program staff internally as well as with partner organizations and external vendors
• Previous experience creating data visualization (Tableau, Periscope, R, etc.) and presenting data projects and results to key stakeholders
• Advanced level understanding of relational databases and SQL, R, and Unix
• Strong desire to grow and learn, and demonstrated ability to help staff grow and learn

Salary
Salary range is $90,000-$110,000 and is commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off, and 401k plan.
