This position is responsible for supporting BoardSource’s digital marketing efforts with a focus on our member community — acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies. They will work closely with the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing to use digital marketing tools and technology to enhance our understanding of our community’s needs and, in turn, tailor our outreach and content to provide greater value to our members and broader audience. Additionally, this position will help monitor, track, and analyze metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies to support data-driven decisions to increase member satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in marketing or related field ideally with experience in digital marketing and a passion for the nonprofit sector. The ideal candidate will have experience with marketing automation, member engagement and CMS platforms (HubSpot, HigherLogic and WordPress), and familiarity with website analytics and reporting (e.g., Google Analytics). Candidates with experience identifying target audiences, driving web traffic, analyzing marketing campaign data, and a solid understanding of inbound marketing approaches and tactics are a plus. The successful candidate will be a positive-minded, creative digital marketer with strong project management, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to leverage data for decision-making. Experience with Salesforce and an understanding of standard query logic are also a plus. Candidates must be interested in learning and understanding nonprofit board leadership and have the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment as well as independently.
