Lecturer in Film and Media Studies
TEMPORARY TEACHING POSITIONS
DEPARTMENT OF FILM AND MEDIA STUDIES
Areas of Specialization: history and theory of film, television, and new media studies; video production; screenwriting
Applications are invited for anticipated temporary academic teaching positions in Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer quarters in the above-mentioned areas. This is a call to constitute a pool of candidates; actual positions become available depending on budgetary circumstances. Appointments will vary in percentage of time (generally 33% for one course/quarter) and will range from one quarter to one year, with limited possibility of reappointment dependent on performance and departmental needs. Applicants must possess a PhD or MFA degree in Film, Television, or related Media Practices, or should have at least five years of professional experience, and have college or university teaching experience.
Apply by March 23, 2018 for primary consideration; however, positions will remain open until filled. Applications will be kept active for consideration for all appropriate vacancies within the department until October 31, 2018. Applicants must resubmit a new application letter each academic year to retain eligibility.
