We are presently seeking an Associate Director to join our Technology and Telecom team and to be based in our San Francisco office. The Associate Director will analyze the credit quality of a portfolio of technology companies that issue public and private debt. The ratings process involves both business and financial analysis, the identification of industry risk factors, managing discussions with issuers' management, performing financial forecasts and sensitivity analysis and maintaining surveillance of rated issues.

Associate Directors are required to develop industry knowledge, respond to queries from investors, media and issuers, prepare presentations for Ratings Committees and publish ratings commentaries and ratings rationales. In addition, the Associate Director will be required to maintain the integrity of internal systems that support the ratings process, contribute to the development of ratings criteria, initiate outreach activities with investors and intermediaries and provide guidance and support to analysts as directed.

Qualifications

• MBA or CFA
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience conducting financial analysis or credit analysis for a bank or a brokerage firm, requires very strong credit skills and an ability to do a wide range of analysis
• Should possess a deep understanding of financial accounting
• Should possess a deep understanding of public and private debt markets
• Should be very comfortable juggling ever-shifting priorities, deadlines and demands; flexible, adaptable and resilient
• Should possess exceptionally effective and polished verbal and written communication skills and be very comfortable communicating with the C-level;
• Should be able to meet the challenge of quickly getting up to speed on a specific company's information

Essential Responsibilities:
• Build out AccessEngineering: acquire multimedia content for the online engineering platform; find creative ways to improve and enhance it; develop sister platforms for engineering verticals.
• Identify and make recommendations for new projects and author relationships based on the content needs of customers in a highly competitive marketplace.
• Bring products and product upgrades to market with speed, accuracy and ingenuity.
• Work seamlessly with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including print editors, authors, production, technology, and marketing.
• Technical Acumen: pursue expertise in cutting-edge technology and translate that knowledge to inform tactical and strategic decisions.
• Handle the myriad stages of development and associated paperwork and documentation that comprise the editorial process.



Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum of 4 years digital experience. Editorial experience highly desired.
• Experience with engineering content is highly preferred.
• Experience with managing multiple vendors, or project management experience is preferred.

Description

Develop, support and execute corporate-wide internal communications to promote key business initiatives by leveraging corporate communication vehicles, face to face and executive announcements, with the ultimate goal of driving employee engagement and corporate performance.

To accomplish these goals, this individual will develop/enhance the efficient and effective use of mass employee-communications vehicles (The World, Intranet, Email, etc.):

Essential Accountabilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Employee Communications:
• Develop and implement digital communications strategy, and oversee key vehicles, including the Intranet and videos
• Write communications from C-suite, including CEO that emphasize strategic vision and promote business growth
• Develop video communications; create storyboard and write scripts
• Measure effectiveness and develop efficient strategies to extend key corporate messages and success stories via multiple Corp. Comm. vehicles (The World, Intranet, e-mail, Annual Report, new vehicles, executive memos, etc.)
• Write feature stories that enhance communications vehicles content that engage employees
• Develop new and enhanced initiatives on the Intranet, in The World and other communications vehicles that engage employees and solicit feedback.
• Facilitate collaboration and communications between and within business units, departments and Corporate
• Serve the needs of the business units and their growth agendas
• Provide counsel to departments and business units on the development of communications strategies, plans and the best use of communications vehicles
• Develop new methods of "mass" 2-way communications to engage employees, using existing or new media
• Partner with global groups to execute on key communications initiatives that drive employee performance

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in communications, journalism or English
• At least 7 years of experience working in a Corporate environment or Corp. Comm. dept.
• Management experience involving employee communications vehicles.
• Strategic thinker who understands, and can apply, the concepts and best practices used in issue identification, message formulation, communication delivery, and target audience.
• Experience using social media and other digital methods to engage audiences and promote brand
• Ability to build and manage relationships at all levels of a large organization
