The Washington Center is once again welcoming applications for our
Competitive Government Program! Each summer, The Washington Center partners with selected federal agencies to provide opportunities through which
students gain internship experience while receiving financial assistance. For more information on this program, please click here:
www.twc.edu/FedInternships.
If selected, you would intern for 10 weeks at an office within the
U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of the Treasury, U.S. Coast Guard, Internal Revenue Service, or another government agency.
TWC encourages students from many diverse backgrounds to apply--including women, minorities and students with disabilities.
The Competitive Government Program is open to all students; however, preference is given to those with engineering, science, mathematics, technology, and business majors.
Please note that US citizenship is a strict requirement.
Financial Assistance: Accepted interns receive significant financial assistance. For most of our interns, this includes:
- Housing in Washington, D.C.
- Travel stipend
- Semi-monthly stipend
Deadline: Submit your application by
April 1, 2011. Students are selected through a rolling admissions process and are encouraged to apply before the deadline. Additional candidates will be considered after the deadline on a space-available basis.
