Brandeis University seeks nominations and applications for the University’s inaugural Chief Diversity Officer. Reporting to the President, the Chief Diversity Officer will collaborate deeply with faculty, staff, and students to move the University from aspiration to actualization on issues of diversity and inclusion. Review of applications will begin on June 16, 2016, and will continue until the position is filled.
Brandeis is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities and is one of the country’s youngest private research universities. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced diversity leader who has a documented history of successfully developing and advancing diversity programs within their field. The campus is ripe for a collaborative leader who can build upon current diversity efforts and develop a clear vision and strategy for moving the campus forward. The University seeks candidates whose personal and professional experiences reflect a commitment to and knowledge of the higher education landscape and one who is steeped in the research and literature of diversity science.
The Chief Diversity Officer will have significant responsibility for shaping and developing the diversity department at Brandeis in both staffing and resources.
